2023

Since 1 August 2023, Patrick Schnell has been strengthening the management of REEL Reinheimer Elektronik GmbH alongside Managing Director and shareholder Hans-Jörg Reinheimer.

2022

The existing GNSS circuit from 2012 is renewed and optimised; acquisition of a commercial property in Biebertal.

REEL location

In order to increase the number of possible applications, all necessary tests to obtain railway approval in accordance with EN50155 are initiated and successfully carried out.

2020

The existing MIMO antenna housing is extended by a higher housing cover to realise quadruple mobile radio and quadruple wifi. This model is primarily used in public transport.

2019

Introduction of sustainable cardboard packaging for antennas.

2017

Relocation to the new premises in Hüttenberg due to strong demand.

2016

Optimisation of disc and roof housings. Expansion of the product portfolio with MIMO antenna housings. First-time exhibition at the Electronica in Munich.

2015

REEL certifies the cables and housing materials used in accordance with ECE-R 118, which certifies their fire resistance properties and is an important prerequisite for use in public transport.

2012

The well-known ‘planTEc - GPS-Glonass-Galileo high gain’ navigation circuit is approved by CLAAS and Liebherr of Luxkontroll as the basis for the long-standing collaboration. In addition, the roof housing undergoes comprehensive environmental tests at TÜV (vibration test, temperature tests, leak test).

REEL-Plantec is founded in Romania for cable assembly in order to meet the increasing demand.

2002

REEL develops a roof-mounted housing for the German toll system, which becomes the global standard despite the lack of a surcharge and henceforth represents the company's flagship product.

1999

Due to increasing demand, the company moves to Krofdorf-Gleiberg in Wettenberg; the first ISO 9001 manual is created.

1997

An Australian company commissions REEL to develop an antenna for gluing onto car windscreens, marking the start of antenna production.

1994

Hans-Jörg Reinheimer founds REEL Reinheimer Elektronik GmbH on 1 July and starts as a sales company for sensor technology and communication components.
