Four days filled with interesting discussions, international contacts, and new perspectives: From September 22 to 25, 2026, REEL Reinheimer Elektronik GmbH was represented at InnoTrans in Berlin alongside its booth partners, MC Technologies GmbH and Inside M2M.
For REEL, InnoTrans 2026 was a special milestone: It was the first time we exhibited at a trade show focused on public transit and the rail industry. The trade show gave us the opportunity to present our customized antenna solutions to an international audience of industry professionals and to engage in in-depth discussions about current developments and technical challenges.
The main focus of our trade show presence was, above all, on face-to-face interactions with customers, partners, and interested trade visitors.
In addition to reconnecting with existing contacts, we were able to forge numerous new connections and gain interesting insights into projects from a wide variety of regions around the world.
Discussions about industry-specific requirements in rail transportation were particularly insightful. Among other factors, reliable radio communication, robust designs, and compliance with relevant technical and regulatory standards play a key role here.
The varying operating conditions and individual requirements have once again highlighted the importance of flexible and application-specific antenna solutions.
The discussions focused in particular on MIMO applications and options for retrofitting existing vehicles and systems.
MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) enables high-performance data transmission through the use of multiple antenna elements and is particularly important for modern cellular and Wi-Fi applications.
With our customizable MIMO antennas, we offer solutions for a variety of communication requirements in both mobile and stationary applications.
Retrofitting existing vehicles was also a frequent topic of discussion. Alternative mounting options are in demand, especially when permanent roof mounting is not possible or not desired.
Our antennas for tabletop, window, and magnetic mounting offer flexible options for this purpose and, depending on the application, can also be used for retrofit installations.
InnoTrans has once again shown us how valuable direct dialogue with users, manufacturers, and project managers is.
This is because, particularly in public transit, the requirements for antenna systems often vary considerably. Our modular system enables us to tailor antenna solutions specifically to different frequency ranges, installation conditions, and technical requirements.
We view the numerous discussions and international project initiatives as valuable inspiration for our future work.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all visitors who took the time to engage in personal conversations and professional discussions at our booth.
We’d also like to extend a special thank you to our booth partners, MC Technologies GmbH and Inside M2M, for the pleasant collaboration and the days we spent together at the trade show.
We look back on a successful InnoTrans 2026 and look forward to building on the new connections we’ve made and continuing the interesting discussions we’ve had.
